The Bottom Line
In 2013, the UN reported that globally over 2.5 billion people do not have somewhere safe, private or hygienic to go to the toilet. Poor sanitation disproportionately affects women over men, impacting their health, dignity and safety. The developed world takes a bathroom—a private place to tend to our biological needs for granted. A vinyl infographic installation on the inside of bathroom stalls around Temple University's campus as an awareness campaign, was proposed. Each wall would feature different aspects of the issue with a final call to action that allowed students to text and donate via mobile devices.
